Jieun Park(b.1987) depicts the night view of a city in detail over strong ink lines. Through her work, which stems from her travels, Park experiences both solitude, joy and being in another culture. The process of emptying with these bold ink strokes, and then filling them up again by depicting the city, is a journey to find the artist’s breathing and pace, a meditative ritual of finding balance in the world.
Some of Park’s recent solo exhibitions include 《Breath》(ART SOHYANG, Busan, Korea, 2023) and《The White Way》(SEOJUNG ART, Seoul, Korea, 2022. She participated in many group exhibitions such as 《Under 200》(ART SOHYANG, Busan, Korea, 2024) and 《DEAR CABINET》(SEOJUNG ART, Seoul, Korea, 2023)
